The prevalence of autism spectrum disorders (ASD) has risen dramatically since 2000 and individuals with ASD are presenting to community-based providers for services. While professionals express limited training related to ASD they also express a strong desire for training related to ASD (Brookman-Frazee et al. 2012). Content will focus on knowledge and skills development about current understanding of ASD symptoms and associated features, evidence-based practices (EBPs) for ASD and co-occurring conditions, such as anxiety, consideration of developmental factors across the lifespan, and resources for practitioners.
