Event Description: The 2021 Geriatric Conference Planning Committee invites you to join us in promoting the strengths of today's older adults. It is important for health professionals to meet the needs of our aging society. The annual educational event provides up-to-date, patient-centered and evidence-based practices to help meet the needs of geriatrics professionals from many disciplines.
Objectives
Describe the use of telehealth as a strategy for geriatric care during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Identify key risk factors for falls in the older population.
Outline the effects of aging in the LGBTQ community.
Discuss the scope of depression in aging adults.
List the unique needs of the older African American.

This activity is designed for nurses, social workers, pharmacists, psychologists,counselors, nursing home administrators, nurse practitioners and all other health care professionals interested in the health of older adults.
