Event Description: This continuing medical education activity is intended for pediatricians, as well as family medicine physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and nurses who provide care to infants, children and adolescents.
Objectives
Discuss basics of breastfeeding initiation.
Troubleshoot common breastfeeding problems.
Identify resources for breastfeeding support for patients and references for providers
Learn which SSRIs are used in best practice for treatment of pediatric depression and anxiety.
Master a titration algorithm to achieve optimal tolerability and efficacy of SSRIs.
Discover pearls of SSRI clinical psychoeducation and informed consent process for patients and families.
Understand the clinical evaluation and management of the child with symptoms of sleep apnea.
Identify special populations of children who require individualized care.
Appreciate atypical causes of sleep apnea in children
Understand updates in the epidemiology, treatment, and prevention of pediatric COVID-19 infection.
Review advances in the diagnosis and management of multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C).
