The 2023 Update will provide up-to-date information on prevention, management and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STIs). This activity will address best practices as it relates to prevention strategies for STIs including congenital syphilis, HIV, viral hepatitis, Chlamydia trachomatis and Mycoplasma genitalium. Approaches to addressing risk factors for STIs during pregnancy, as well as management of substance use disorders during the peripartum period will be reviewed. Additionally, a framework for providing culturally competent STI care will be discussed.
