Event Description: This live event will include a review motivational interviewing techniques, stages of change, and approaches to coaching for behavior change. We will break into small groups to practice client-centered coaching with your peers and coach observers using your motivational interviewing toolkit to recognize stages of change, evoke change talk, and help set SMART goals for forward momentum towards greater wellness. Objectives
Identify a client within the five stages of behavior change.
Demonstrate use of motivational interviewing techniques to engage and evoke change talk.
Apply SMART goal setting criteria in a client setting.
