Event Description: Many practicing Otolaryngologists are not aware of newer technologies or the indications for new devices and which academic centers offer these for many different ENT pathologies. The Otolaryngology Update 2024 is a conference that is meant to help general and sub-specialist Otolaryngologists learn more about new unique technologies and devices so that they can either use them themselves or learn when to refer to a center that uses such devices in order to expand options to patients.
Objectives
Compile and apply artificial intelligence in their practice to help promote teaching others (residents and other clinicians).
Explain the iotaMotion robot for preservation of hearing in cochlear implantation, as well as DNA markers in HPV cancers and the Inspire device for OSA.
Classify appropriate audiometric testing for single sided deafness.
Operate the Tula Tube system for tympanostomy tubes and apply new lasers and balloon technology for use in their practice.
Learn novel techniques in basic science contributing to cutting edge Otolaryngology research.
Audience
Otolaryngologists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, speech pathologists, audiologists, LPNS, APPs, and other health care providers working in otolaryngology.
