Event Description

This course presents the inter-relatedness of joy in work, burnout, safety, and silence in the healthcare setting, and the role that organizational 'just culture' has in optimizing clinician satisfaction and patient safety.

Objectives

  1. Describe how an organization embracing a just culture responds to: human error, at-risk behavior, and reckless behavior.
  2. List three questions included in an investigation within a just culture.
  3. Demonstrate use of the C.U.S. (Concerned Uncomfortable STOP) tool to improve team based communication and patient safety.
