Nurses, mental health providers, counselors, psychologists, physicians, social workers, health educators, and other healthcare professionals seeking personal well–being.

Event Description

This one day program is designed exclusively for healthcare professionals seeking renewal, reflection, and reconnection. Set in the tranquil surroundings of the Graylyn International Conference Center, this immersive experience offers a gentle blend of movement, mindfulness, and creative exploration. Whether you're looking to recharge, reflect, or simply reconnect with your purpose, this retreat offers a safe and supportive space to do so. Step away from the demands of your profession and return with renewed energy and insight.

Objectives

  1. Demonstrate basic gentle yoga and stretching techniques designed to reduce physical tension, enhance body awareness, and promote relaxation.
  2. Explore the connection between spirituality and wellness, and evaluate practices that foster inner peace, resilience, and a sense of purpose.
  3. Engage in creative expression through guided watercolor and reflect on how artistic practices can serve as tools for emotional release, stress reduction, and personal renewal.
  4. Describe Compassion Fatigue and Burnout in healthcare providers.
  5. Identify strategies to prevent or manage Compassion Fatigue and Burnout to improve provider wellbeing, patient safety, and quality of care.
  6. Describe at least two mindfulness techniques and explain how these practices can reduce stress and enhance emotional resilience in healthcare settings.
  7. Describe the concept of life-work integration and its significance. Discuss and debunk the myth of work-life balance.
  8. Recognize the challenges associated with life-work integration, focusing on priorities, satisfaction, and energy management.
  9. Assess the importance, focus, satisfaction, and performance in four key domains of life.

Credit will be awarded based on participant selection at time of registration. Before selecting credits, participants are encouraged to review our Credit Glossary for general information. Please note that not all credit types are available for every program.
