Target Audience

RN Refresher nurse and any interested RN.

Event Description

This hands-on lab focuses on essential IV therapy and central line care, with an emphasis on infection prevention. Participants will practice peripheral IV insertion, manage central lines, and apply evidence-based techniques to reduce infection risk.

Objectives

  1. Demonstrate proper technique for initiating and maintaining peripheral IVs and central line care using aseptic procedures.
  2. Apply infection control principles to prevent complications such as catheter-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSIs) during vascular access care.
