Objectives
- Apply a syndemic framework to implement and integrated STI, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and HIV screening and prevention, including equitable PrEP/DoxyPEP access, harm reduction, and streamlined linkage to ART and HCV cure to reduce transmission and improve outcomes in North Carolina.
- Identify standardized, evidence based diagnostic approaches to accurately differentiate common vaginitis etiologies and reduce variability in treatment decisions caused by inconsistent or suboptimal diagnostic workflows.
- Differentiate rash syndromes by applying a standardized diagnostic framework that integrates patient risk assessment and pattern recognition for evolving pathogens
- Describe the key risk factors for mpox infection, the role of vaccination in prevention, the spectrum of clinical presentations, and the principles of supportive and evidence-based therapeutic management.
- Optimize the diagnosis and management of Mycoplasma genitalium by using risk assessment and recommended resistance guided treatment algorithms to improve outcomes and reduce antimicrobial misuse.
