Event Description

This educational initiative is designed to move learners from awareness to action-strengthening their knowledge of updated specialty practices, improving competence in communication and referral management, and ultimately enhancing performance and patient outcomes across the BRMG continuum of care.

Objectives

  1. Introduce new BRMG specialists to the primary care network to begin building provider-to-provider trust.
  2. Strengthen existing relationships between primary care and specialty providers through education and collaboration.
  3. Create a forum for specialists to share feedback with primary care on appropriate pre-referral workup, referral management, and clinical recommendations from past consultations.
  4. Provide primary care an opportunity to share feedback with specialists regarding referral processes, clinical successes and/or shortcomings and patient experiences.
  5. Deliver evidence-based updates, guideline changes, and best-practice education from specialists to primary care to support high-quality care delivery.
  6. Improve pre-specialist screenings and workups to expand specialty access, ensure the sickest patients receive timely specialty care, and equip primary care providers to manage lower-risk patients effectively.
