Most practices can expect legitimate net increases in cash flow immediately by learning how to administer insurance correctly. Dealing with dental insurance is overwhelming but key strategies can save you time, prevent hassles, and keep you out of jail. You will receive essential tools to properly submit dental insurance claims, and calculate primary and secondary insurance patient responsibility and provider write-off. In addition, co-pay forgiveness, discounting, patient gifts, falsifying NPI numbers and even PPO strategies will be discussed. Day 2: Meeting the Challenges of Dental-Medical Cross Coding with Confidence
This one day course is designed to give dentists and experienced team members an overview of those changes and gain a thorough knowledge required to file medical claims with confidence. There is an increased need for the dentist and team members to become familiar with both ICD-10-CM (diagnosis) and CPT (medical procedure) codes. We will cover diagnostic coding for dental and medical claims, as well as medical-dental cross coding for common dental procedures. Topics include, but are not limited to trauma, sleep apnea, extractions, implants, TMJ/TMD, biopsies, and CBCT.
