Spanish for the Medical Professions is a six-session introductory course designed for healthcare professionals who have an intermediate-advanced knowledge of Spanish and want to improve their ability to communicate with Spanish-speaking patients. Through interactive instruction, role-playing, and real-world clinical scenarios, participants will develop practical language skills for patient interviews, medical histories, vital signs, physical examinations, medications, and patient education. The course also incorporates cultural competency and best practices for working with Latino patients, helping participants enhance communication while providing safe, patient-centered care.
