Event Description:
This 2.0 hour knowledge-based continuing education program will review new medications to the market, including their indications and clinical utility, pharmacology, drug interactions, adverse effects and key monitoring parameters, and important patient counseling information. Following each medication review, the drug will be compared to other medications in its class or similar treatment agents to highlight potential place in therapy.
Objectives
Identify new pharmacologic treatment options that have come to market in the past 12 months
Discuss indication, pharmacology, drug interactions, adverse effects and key patient counseling information for new pharmacologic treatments
Appraise the potential role in therapy of new pharmacologic treatments compared to other medications in class or alternative treatments for indicated condition
