In this workshop, participants will learn techniques for stress reduction, relaxation, emotional release and personal insight. Together we will explore neurographic watercolor, a mindful and meditative art form accessible to people of all skill levels. One of the most widely used psychological techniques used in art therapy, Neurographic art can result in greater neuroplasticity causing positive transformation and change.
By participating in this arts-based course learners are expected to enhance their creativity, improve focus and build communication, collaboration and empathy. Participants will develop a greater sense of cultural humility, enabling them to engage with patients and colleagues in ways that respect cultural, social, and individual differences. The goal of this Arts-Based course is to improve the quality of effective communication, empathy, and teamwork for physicians.
