Objectives

Identify strategies to enhance resilience in both caregivers and clinicians supporting children and youth with special health care needs.

Demonstrate the use of early neurological assessments to identify developmental concerns and guide early intervention planning for infants with special health care needs.

Describe lived experiences and key challenges faced by youth with special health care needs during various transitions in life.

Summarize recent Medicaid policy updates and their implications for service delivery and care coordination for children and families with complex health needs.

Physicians, nurses, speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, psychologists, behavioral health professionals, public health professionals and all other health care professionals interested in children and youth with special health care needs. In addition to healthcare professionals, community members, caregivers and parents are welcome.
